IMPORTANT NOTICE: The Board of BOAA has been diligently monitoring the COVID-19 information provided by the Hendricks County Health Dept and the CDC. After all the information provided, President Trump’s comments regarding the senior population and the recommendation to restrict social gatherings to help combat this virus, BOAA has decided to suspend all activities starting immediately.
Given our mission of BOAA is to enhance your quality of life, we want to make sure your health is protected. We feel, as a board, that the time has come now to make these changes to our activities, but we do plan to update you every Friday until this situation is resolved, and social gatherings will be recommended again. You can call the office at 317-749-7540 to check for updates as well.
We will look forward to seeing you again and getting back to full function!
Please stay well and follow the advisement of the CDC.
It is recommended by the Hendricks County Health Department that the best way to protect yourself are by:
• wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
• avoid touching your face with unwashed hands
• avoid close contact with people who are sick
• stay home when you’re sick
• cover your cough or sneeze and clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
It has been advised that “Older adults and people who have server underlying chronic medical conditions like heart or lung disease or diabetes seem to be at higher risk for developing more serious complications from COVID-19” (CDC).
Thank you for your support of this difficult decision,
The BOAA Board
